Actually, that's incorrect. Wolves are PRIMARILY carnivore and genetically pretty much identical to Dogs (even though they look drastically different).
I recall watching a documentary about wolves raiding vineyards at harvest time...and the wolves weren't eating the farmers. Apparently, when available, they will commonly eat fruit. Grains would not normally be available in a form that they could eat and digest except around humans.
