Bob states something you need to understand. The RV is not like a stick house. There are times you have to give up a group tour or a fun hike.
I leave my dogs for short trips and if we are on shore power longer trips with the AC running. But if I happen to be in a campground with no hookups, like a National Park, and the temp is above 85 by mid morning I do not leave the dogs alone for more than a half hour to an hour and that with windows open and fans running. The inside temp has never exceeded the outside under those conditions so I am comfortable with that. I am not comfortable with leaving them with a generator running so they have AC. To many things could go wrong. Even with windows open and fans running the inside can get dangerous in full sun on a hot day.
