I think the objection that many pet lovers have is for the persons who don't care - just put the dog in the tt and take off. I agree with you, I think the OP did a good job addressing the situation.
In my area with temperatures around 100 degrees cooling is the big issue. When I first started RV'ing I used a single cab truck with a topper and a trailer. I traveled of a night to avoid the heat.
