I wish I had some words of wisdom, I at one time had a Poodle that had CHF, she was ten when diagnosed.
We were told to take her home and love her and enjoy our time with her, we did but we went to another vet and he put her on Lasix.
Four years later he put her on this tiny little heart pill that I had to go to the pharmacy for. This was in the 70's and 80's.
Shortly before her 17th birthday I had to let her go, with CHF I will take that seven years anytime.
I can only hope that you will be able to get your baby through this and I will include you in our prayers. Good luck and please keep us posted.
