As soon as I wake up and move a little my Chocolate Lab is right in my face telling me he wants to go out. I never have to worry about stumbling over him. I just dislike having to go outside at 2 or 3 in the morning. Even our little Shih Tzu stays out of the way in his little cubbyhole so as to not get stepped on at night.
