My folks (old farm kids) used to say if a wound bled a lot, that was good as it would wash out bacteria. I don't know if there is any truth to that. I sure am glad you got the antibiotic, anyway. That old saying about when something "sticks out like a sore thumb" is sure true, isn't it? Permission to cuss retroactively! Hope the pain is soon better.
