Have added a rescue!!

We have thinking of adding a rescue to our household but she needed to blend in with our other 2 dogs. Finally found a 10yr maltese female that is going to be perfect with our other two!!

Apparently the other got remarried and the woman wasn't happy with Jasmine. Well then when Jasmine started panting she wanted her out, instead of figuring out what the problem might be. So they turned over to the humane society,

She has a heart condition that is being controlled with meds, thanks to the humane society, who of course took her their vet.

Fine with us. Our other 2 are on meds that must be taken 2x daily, so no big deal.

We just got her today so will make an appt for our vet to check her.

This is our first rescue and it really feels good. Wish we had done this along time ago!!

  • That's great that you found your new family member through rescue. They're the best! We have two, and have had others in the past.
  • We rescued a shih tzu and brussels griffon. Both had been abused.180 degree change in both since then. Nothing better than seeing those changes come about in time.
  • Thank You for rescuing, it is simply the most joy one could ever experience!
  • Jasmine got the best of that deal...imagine living with someone who didn't like your breathing pattern !! Although she may have been sad at the time, she sure isn't now...!
  • Happy for you AND Jasmine! What a GREAT DAY FOR HER! Do we get to see a picture of her?

I pulled my first rescue boxer out of the pound back in 1970, and I've had rescue boxers ever since! We also do some rescue and rehoming here too. Even my husband's "service" dog is a rescue. They can be "Pandora's Boxes" of insecurities, but with consistent training, and a routine lifestyle I've never yet had one that didn't turn into a solid dog. Every dog in this photo is a rescue. They didn't look like this when I got them, but they are happy, calm and wonderful dogs now. *Front to back - Gizmo, Miss Eva, Pip, and Mr. Mikie.
  • Their loss is your gain. Good story. Thanks for sharing.
