Help , truck interior covered with dog hair.

We have a white short haired little dog. We also have a dodge truck with with the charcoal or dark grey cloth interior, every hair can be seen from 20 feet away on that type of background. We do use a seat cover on the rear seat but every time she jumps in for a ride the first thing she does is shake and the shed hair goes everywhere, carpet, dash, seats, even gets on the headliner. Its almost like everything has static on it and attracts it. Vacuuming takes forever and is to do daily. Any suggestions to make hair removal easier or prevent to from sticking so well to everything?
Thanks R

  • Ours rides in a crate on the back seat...crate is belted/strapped in. This really helps cut down on the hair and in my opinion is safer for her.
  • Not to state the obvious, but daily brushing (the dog), should help some. For sure do it before a ride if you have time. Possibly a diet change for healthy coat? Not sure on that one, but you never know. Good luck.

Wait, dog hair on every surface isn't normal?
I agree, my thinking also. It even has a tendency to stick to the vertical plastic surfaces of the inside door panels at times. Ha, maybe I need to drag a grounding chain or something. Not really but it has me baffled. The static guard is a good idea,I will try that.
    Thanks
  • Go to your local grocery store to the laundry section and pick up a spray can of Static Guard. Spray the cloth and floors in your vehicle then vacuum normally. The hair will remove much easier.

Then use the same vacuum on the dog before it gets in the vehicle.
