Go online and order Synflex, it's a liquid glucosamine that worked a miricle with my 12 year old Golden.
First few days double the amount suggested and then use it on his food twice a day. I would order 3 at a time for like $69.00, well worth it. My Golden couldn't get up and I had called the vet to see what the steps were for putting him down. That night I was all over the web for something that would help! I found Synflex, read many reviews and had it sent over night.
