Our beagle and our bigger brittany always find the longest blades of grass possible (6+ inches) and wolf them down. They a day later they need, how should I put it, a forward assist in getting it out.
The brittany also used to be bad about stealing socks and once we found one in the yard after he finished his duty, but he fortunately has lost interest in them.
The worst was when he swallowed some sort of large seed or nut and it did get lodged in the GI. The vet had some kennels with sheet metal sides where they hold the animals they treat. He was in one of them and before they were ready to take and work on him, apparently things started "moving" again. The vet said is sounded like a gun shot when it came out and hit the side of the kennel.
