How to control climate for pets/ a cat

Hello, I am looking to buy an RV soon. Something small. I don't plan on living at a park permanently, which means I won't have a power source. Im very new at this and am trying to understand how it works.

I have a housecat that will be living with me. My question is: How to control the climate for my cat inside the RV? If anyone can give some advice on how they do it, it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Open several windows so there may be a cross breeze.
In cold weather our cat would burrow under blankets.
  • You & cat going to live in it ....... not at RV Park so WHERE?

    Boodocking/dry camping
    Parked on streets
    Parking lots
    What area of USA?
How long do you plan on leaving cat alone?
How do you plan on recharging trailer battery w/o any AC?

HOT Climate ..........even with windows open /fan running the inside of an RV can get pretty HOT

More specific info about HOW/WHERE you plan on RVng.

When we didn't stay at a RV park with electric and we dry camped we had a generator to use for AC power.
Plus we limited amount of time away from RV when dog was left alone.

But we are retired and can come/go as we please.
  • Most are just like a house, with a thermostat-controlled propane furnace; or if you need cooling, you'll need a generator to supply the electric for the A/C

  • since you don't have electric, it is quite simple. cold, furnace. hot, open a window. you don't have much option when you don't have electric.
