I think he might be a big dog...

Tully was 24 lbs at 10 weeks when we picked him up. Weighed him Monday and he was 25 lbs. When he came home last Friday he could fit his head between the iron fence posts. Today he could not. Here he is with Jake. Jake is about 56 lbs.

Dogs will grow to fit the first feet that they are issued.....

Sometimes they will outgrow their feet, but it's very rare for them not grow into them.

My Bat-dog had dainty little feet and a big square body that oversized them...

  • Oh, I'll most definitely update LOL! He goes to the vet on Saturday to have the heart murmur checked and just a general well-being look.
  • Keep us updated, he has big paws. I'm guessing he's not done growing. :B
  • Big boy. And I thought Tornado-dog had "growth potential"... I will say his build is extremely narrow like my Moose-dog was, so he doesn't look his weight. Tully is going to be a weightlifter. ;)

Good for Jake. It's his job to raise this little (lol) brat properly. I let Cat-dog reprimand Tornado-dog - it's more effective than if I try to redirect him. Sometimes if he's bothering me, I will call her over to handle him. She's that good. She usually speaks to him when he barks at her nonstop and jabs her face with his front feet. He's that annoying little brother in the backseat poking at you for the entire drive to grandmas's house.

Tornado-dog found a new hobby. Popping bubble wrap. The other day I got several packages with it. He was sleeping under the couch with just his rear legs sticking out, and I placed a piece of bubble wrap on the floor in front of the couch. Almost immediately, the bubble wrap and feet slithered without a sound under the couch just like a snake. Soon afterwards I heard popping coming from under the couch. He now checks every box for more wrap. And he's very thorough - not a bubble left unpopped.
  • Some of the time LOL! They just had a "tiff". Jake is relaxing on the couch and Tully kept jumping at him and biting his feet. Nothing I did stopped it so I let Jake speak his piece. Tully stopped.
