DOC, can I hit you up on what you think is going on with the boy?A few days ago, Calvin started shacking his head. Like something is in his ear or something.I cleaned it, then all was kindah sorta good. But every once in awhile he still shakes his head.I know he's neurologically challenged, but you think something else is going on in his brain? We're gonna see his DOC on Monday, but, figured I'd ask what you think while we wait till his Monday appointment.Dang Kid ain't happy, unless I'm worried.Thanks,Pops

I know how you feel. Duncan is swatting invisible flies.We're waiting on a call from the neurologist about an MRI. I have a feeling he has Syringomeyelia. I hope I'm over reacting.I had just told the vet in June that I hoped not to see them for another year. No such luck.

That can be a sign of allergies, especially this time of year when summer pollen levels are high. Hopefully the vet can isolate the problem and Calvin will be back to his old self. Good luck.

On swatting invisible flies, those of us who have had "floaters" in our eyes know that experience very well. It's maddening, trying to see through and around them. I'd have the dog's eyes checked, too.

Actually Pops one of my clan had this a few months ago and it turned out to be ear mites. Hope everything works out.

I started rinsing his ear out with a water and vinegar solution. Once a day till his appointment on Monday. So far, knocking on wood, he seems to be doing OK. But we'll see how it goes.

Calvin I think you might need to check into finding the ole man a doc, he seems to be thinking he's a dog now. :B

Actually Pops one of my clan had this a few months ago and it turned out to be ear mites. Hope everything works out.

I guess it boils down to personal taste. But I kindah like the pungent, twangy punch of the Dentastix. I tried his Hypo-Allergenic biscuits, but it was kindah bland. .... :B

POPS, I didn't like the flavor of the Dentastixs, but I do like Bliss's Beggin' Strips.

The responses have pretty well hit the top choices, infection and allergy. Sometimes the infections are deep enough you can't see them from the outside without the aid of an otoscope. Hope the Dr finds what's bothering him.
