Aww, on the feeding problems. You know, everybody says "when he's hungry, he'll eat" but sometimes that isn't true. Maybe if he's somewhere with you and no other dogs around he'll take tiny bites of bacon, chicken, something irresistible? Our Darcy was like Nash at one time and I hooked her leash around a heavy table leg so she couldn't get near the others at feeding time. She learned pretty quickly that there would be enough food for everybody. Some adoptive "parents" change the new dog's name to help him disassociate with past experiences. It's going to be quite the challenge for you but I'm sure you'll be able to help him be a dog again. We'll be looking forward to updates.
