- dspencerExplorerNow that picture is priceless. I'm sure glad she's not spoiled, i was concerned for a minute. :B When we take 2 of our Boston's camping with us they absolutely refuse to eat dog food, they think they have to have what were eating. Now that is the pleasure of being owned by a Boston Terrier.:W
- SDPatExplorerWe have friends who had to put a fence around their garden to keep their Chocolate Lab from eating all the ripe tomatoes and cantaloupe. Our Boston Terrorist is rather picky...if a vegetable is dipped in Ranch dressing she'll consider eating it...after she has licked off the dressing. But she'll steal your beer in a second if you give her a chance!
- nabiExplorerI have a client who's GSD helps herself to fresh corn every year in his garden....we always know when the corns ripe by seeing the silk all over the lawn LOL. Interestingly enough is the fact that she never takes any cobs until they are at the peak of perfection...unlike racoons who pick any cobs they see and then discard the unripe ones !

My first dog was a cockapoo who absolutely loved corn on the cob. She was an only dog that we got when she was seven weeks old, and we never put butter or anything else on it. Not a learned behavior or doctored up to entice her. She just loved it.
I've also had dogs who, if given the opportunity, would raid a neighboring farmer's field, drag entire stalks of corn home and eat it. Raw and unbuttered, of course.
Interesting, in that a common argument against corn in dog food is that "Nobody ever saw a coyote raid a cornfield." I'll bet it has happened, because ripe corn tastes sweet and juicy. Heck, now I'm wanting some. :W - Pawz4meExplorerMy first dog was a cockapoo who absolutely loved corn on the cob. Izzy is so sweet. DH looked at the pictures and said he could really love that little dog,(from a mastiff owner)!
thanks...tell DH that Izzy thinks she is a mastiff LOL ...she is always ready to take on any varmint the happens to enter our yard from the waters edge ..bear..deer...fishers...most of her day is filled with keeping the ravens off our trees...they are twice her size and get quite annoyed with her and frequently bombard her...doesn't stop her though LOL - Go_DogsExplorerIzzy is so sweet. - nabiExplorer" How are your moving plans going? "
our plans are moving along slowly..it is taking longer than we thought to get the house on the market..but should be by next week...the weather hasn't been co-operating to get the lawn/gardens looking up to snuff etc etc...but we have 2 real estate people in EC looking out for a rental property for us...a Canadian lady emailed me yesterday that sold everything here in Can..bought a small home in Fl and an income property in EC by the ocean...it which should be done reno's by October... she is fine with the wees coming so we might just rent her place and use that as a base for our house search...I wish we were on our way, but it all takes time ! - CA_POPPYExplorer
