My high-strung Rosie, chi mix, has gone to Rainbow Bridge where there are no fireworks or thunder, thankfully. She was about inconsolable on those occasions. I found a baby jacket that fit her snugly and zipped up the front. That became her cue that she was "protected". It seems that anything that fits them well enough to feel secure helps. In our high fire danger, drought conditions, fireworks are terrifying to anyone with good sense.
