Please don't leave your dog alone in your RV while you are out-and-about. Many well meaning people firmly believe their dog never barks while they are gone. Well, it's not true in every case. Any unfamiliar sound outside the RV will set-off most dogs. Makes for an unpleasant situation for other campers. That is why many campgrounds have a rule against it.
A large percentage of RV'rs own pets and bring them along, they are family members. We leave them home in our permanent homes, and we do the same in our RV's. To go out and eat, to shop, or to spend a couple of hours sightseeing. We have not been bothered by or experienced incessant barking, as most camping dog owners know whether their dogs bark too much or not, and realize it can get them evicted. Occasional barking when hearings a noise near their "house"....is part of living with folks and their pets at home or in an RV. Most dogs will sound an alarm then quiet down. Most campgrounds allow dogs and expect you to keep them quiet, and the majority of campers do.
