On the subject of Alpha dogs, my new male loves to lick the girls face but back to this thread. For those who feel strongly against an occasional face lick, don't forget to carry your anti-bacterial cleaner with you for every time you pull paper money out of your pocket. I shutter to think where all those hands prior to mine have had their hands before that dollar bill made its way into my pocket.
I find it kinda funny to hear everyone mention where "fido" has been licking, what "fido" has been eating....you talk as though "we" don't already know this. The image of a slobbering dog all over your face isn't what I'm talking about, a lick here or there is just plain OK in my book and I can't speak for others, but, in my life, I've never heard of anyone who has become ill from a dog lick. I can't say the same about even the simplest of interactions with the general public......handshakes, close proximity, hell, breathing the same air as your cigarette smoking pal. I'll continue to take the outrageously dangerous behavior of allowing my dogs to lick my face whenever they feel the need. Anyways....carry on!
