Licking/kissing your dog

At the end of Dr. Oz they did a segment about people allowing their dog to lick,(kiss)their mouths. I know a lot of people think this is a show of affection. I have lived with animals all of my life. Domestic animals use their tongues for personal hygiene. They occasionally eat bacterial-laden things. Excessive licking can be a form of dominant behavior. So, no swapping spit with my pets!
  • I get a doggie wash every morning. From my DW's MultiPoo.
I am more likely to get cancer than something from the dog.
  • Ah, come-on.... what's a little doggy spit anyway! If it doesn't kill the dog, I don't think it will kill you either!
  • Times TEN!

And this bad habit, once learned, is very difficult to unteach....Sometimes even impossible, as we've had to resign ourselves to three years after adopting then-seven year old Millie. Somebody in her past thought this obnoxious behavior "cute", and the rest is history.

She doesn't do it to US anymore, but she'll try it with strangers, especially children. BAD DOG!
