Lily reports on Kokofriend picture added

Hi, I am Lily and also Barb;s favorite dogger. (Please don't let Willow hear this.) Anyway I am the only one right now able to work on internet. Willow has paws way to big to type. My moma Barb (also Kokofriend)has been ill for quite a while. She would up with having some serious belly surgery. She is recovering well now and hopes to be back to normal!!. She has a big bunch of stables running down her belly. She says she is afraid of wearing jeans because she might unzip the wrong place and her guts might fall out on the flood at Wal Mart or something. Anyway, she wanted me to tell you she is not missing!!

I hope she will let me continue on the internet because I really like this

Great PSA and I am so happy you are recovering nicely but it will surely take some time.
So take it easy, listen to the doctors and try to enjoy the holidays and we'll see you back here sooner rather than later!!

  • Well, I will have to let Mama Barb get on a little, but I am in charge!!

I just wanted to thank you all and say I missed being on line. At first I was getting through loss of BenBen, but then I became ill in July. Most of the people in this country have a pouch in the colon called diverticulosis. And it is there because we don't eat enough fiber. I am saying this because I don't want others to go through what I did. I got a little sick that night and it progressed the next to leave me retching and could nod get up or even sit up much less walk. Into the ambulance that afternoon and on to the hospital. I have never been that sick. Quick action on the ER docs lead to IV antibiotics. After my recovery, I was ok for about a week and then had it again and then had it again. I decided the best course for me was not to manage it with antibiotics and wait until I have to have emergency surgery and a temporary bag.

My surgery was the 13th and I am regaining now. I lost 20 lbs during that time and became afraid to eat. I am learning to eat again and doing better every day. This is my story and I hope someone avoids this agony buy starting good fiber and good consultation with a GI doc. OK, you get it next time Lily Pad
  • Barb is always missed when she's not on here, last time I sent her a PM, it was after she lost BenBen, who we all fell in love with and I wondered how she was doing.
Tell her we look forward to her returning when she feels better and she is truly missed.

  • Lily...tell your momma we are sending lots of well wishes from Ecuador...you are taking good care of her, I can tell.
  • Good job, Lily! It only stands to reason that you, being the youngest, would be the most computer savvy. And I'm sure you can identify with that darned spay surgery Barb had to have. Tell us, does she have to wear The Cone of Shame? That must be just the last straw! But you are a great little girl and will take good care of her and make sure she doesn't go running any marathons or things like that, I am sure. Just help Mama and give her lots of hugs and kisses. Tell her we are all wishing her a speedy recovery and good health, once more. Happy Holidays to your whole family!
  • Barb, oops, I mean Lily, I hope your mom is recovering and will feel better soon. We did miss her posting here and wondered what happened. Please give her our love and best wishes for a quick, uneventful recovery.
