Yahoo news just had an article not more than a week or so back about places to retire or move overseas.

Ecuador was mentioned as one of the top spots primarily due to good health care, weather, and a large English speaking expatriate community already living there.

What an adventure for you folks!

Best of luck. So many things I would just love to travel through South America and see. Hope you get the opportunities to do so as your proximity is certainly going to be as in the neighborhood now.

ON EDIT: SHOOT! I actually found the article I mentioned. Here's a link for your reading; Cuenca, Ecuador # 2 on list place to move overseas.

Thank you so much for the article...Cuenca will be a city to visit ..it's a beautiful colonial city...but much too cold for us...we are heat lovers and need to be near the water...soothes my soul...

    Ecuador, how cool!
We're in the process of leaving the cold planning on landing in Florida. We're going to live in the RV until we find "Home", I keep on subtly mentioning Belize.

Anyway, why Ecuador? And how do you go about a move like that? I am so excited about Florida, I can't yet imagine living out of the States but you sure got me thinking!

Oh ya, we don't know each other but I've followed you and the wees for some time. Beautiful pups with a loving family always makes me feel at home.

Good luck with the move and we'll keep sending prayers for the wees!

Two main reasons we picked Ecuador are...weather and health care....in the larger cities health care is really good...we also liked the cost of living ratio...there are lots of expats. to help us familiarize ourselves with the new country....Belize is beautiful but the health care is just not up to snuff....

Thanks for the kind remarks and I am so glad you enjoy the wees...
