We do not give our Furry Kids People food. When we got Sandi Macy was almost three and was on regular dry food. It seemed as though Sandi tried to eat Macy;s food and Macy eat Sandi's. It took a little while to get Sandi to eat her food. Here is what I did, I would sit down and give Sandi a little bit of her food by hand, just like a treat. In time I started just putting some on the floor next to her dish and usually her would eat the lose pieces and then go to her dish.
Now fast forward to now, they are on the same food. She is almost Five and still will not eat sometimes unless I give her some out of my hand. I may have created a monster by doing this but it worked and is not much of a pain to continue as at least I know she is eating.
I do have to watch out for Macy eating Sandi's food as sometimes Sandi will take a mouthful and go eat it on the carpet in the dining room.
