Ah, that sure does sound a lot like our Benjie's experience. The vet diagnosed stroke from his symptoms, and said the "gauge" that tells them when they've had enough to drink is like it's broken. I think the instinct to drink water when in distress is still strong enough to make them do it. Sorry about your loss. Ouiser sounds adorable and I know she had a happy life.
