Parrots in state/federal campgrounds?

Has anyone camped in state/federal campgrounds with parrots? All that I've looked at have the following under "Pets":
"Captive wild species, whether native or non- native, and barnyard animals, except horses, are not allowed."
Looks like the only pets allowed are dogs and cats. We were hoping to take a couple of our parrots with us on the longer trips, but may have to rethink that if they're not welcome at government campgrounds. Thanks for any info.

  • I would just call one of the Rangers at a CG you hope to stop at.
If you plan to keep the parrot caged the whole time, I wouldn't think it would be all that much of an issue.....kinda like if you brought a Hamster....though I'm really not sure of their stance on that either:H

If and when you find out, post about it!:)
  • If kept inside and quiet (impossible to do?) they might not be noticed.
