When I gave it to our former (now deceased) dog I gave it with his dinner, which was usually around 4:30-5:00. And he got a good sized snack before bed time. But his issue was an almost constant gurgling tummy and occasionally vomiting bile in the middle of the night (not in the mornings). The Pepcid took care of it.
