- Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer IIWe're currently camped at the SE Orlando/Lake Whippoorwill KOA. My dogs actually SQUEALED as we walked towards the dog park - they remembered it from last year. Clearly a version of Disneyland for dogs? 7500 sq ft of fenced off-leash paradise, complete with courtesy tennis balls and frisbees; poo-bag stations; and fresh water for drinking... after tearing around for a bit, I'm able to walk my dogs over to the boat ramp to let them wade and cool off. There's also nice hiking trails for on-leash walks.
We humans love the tropical feel of this beautiful place, too. It's not the cheapest, at $50+ per night; but we ALL really love this place! - sher9570ExplorerSun and Fun is a great park, it is huge too, easy access to Sarasota and out to the beaches of Lido.
There also is Bay Bayou in Tampa (it's actually Oldsmar) but it's a nice rather large park and it does have a dog park. We stayed here for a month a couple of years ago.
Not very far to the beaches and Honeymoon Island which has an incredible dog beach.
Enjoy...

This park is full of amenities! It has two dog parks, one large and one small, a dog washing station, large laundry room, a large pool, various sport courts, a fitness center, a restaurant/grill (fast food type of foods) next to the pool, evening happy hour, etc. You can have fun there, without ever going to the beach, if you desire. It's also near a lot of fun things to do in the area and right off I-75. - LadyRVerExplorer IIBlueberry Hill, Bushnell, FL
Majestic Oaks, Zephyrhills, FL (also dog park about 1-1/2 miles from MO)

Lazy Days, Seffner, FL, read that they have dog park
Tropical Palms, Kissimmee, FL - Dog_FolksExplorerHere is one that has an "off leash" dog park and a nice dog wash. We stayed there a number of years ago and it was very nice.
Here is a link: Ocala Sun RV
Happy camping. - lovemountainsExplorerFort Desoto Campground has a large camping section where people can have pets. They do have to be on a leash at the campground. But the dog park at the beach is enclosed and dogs can run freely. It is probably less than a mile away from the campground.
- Big_KatunaExplorer III have camped dozens of parks around Central Florida and cant think of one that has an off leash area.
However, there are more and more dog parks in Florida and a few good websites that list them or go to the county website and see.
Fort Desoto in St. Pete has an off leash dog beach.
Dogfriendly.com lists places that accept dogs but weak on if they have a dog run or just allow them.
