I don't know of any campground that does not require pets to be leashed. Why then, do people NOT leash their dogs? If you can control your dog with one word, no problem, but I'm not talking about thos...

For dog walks I always carry "Halt", a spray carried by mail carriers. It's "very unpleasant" for dogs so I only save it for overly aggressive dogs. Fortunately I've never had to use it. My dogs have leash aggression so when friendly dogs approach mine I (so far) I have just yelled for the owners to get their dogs. It's a shame that a few people have to ruin it for others. I know of campgrounds that won't allow certain breeds (gee, maybe if people leashed their dogs and had them under control, they wouldn't need to discriminate). I believe KOA has such a rule with a list of breeds--the reason I would NEVER stay in a KOA campground.
