Petting Dakota

Rather bla title but I'm not that sharp this evening or ever.
Dakota sidled up tp me begging for an ear scratch.
I must have found the right place, right below and next to his ear. His right hind leg did a jig or something. It must have felt really good.
Doesn't take much to please him.
he's rather bored, since there are no rabbits, in here, for him to chase.
He wears us out playing ball sometimes.
But...he won't go out except for business unless we go out with him. He wants to run and jump in the spring and carry on but head, for the door and he will make you fall, running between your legs or bumping you out of the way, from behind, beating you in. I have to get one, of SIL's dogs to pal around with him. he hasn't accepted any of them though. They are barging in on his territory and his people. The little Australian Shepard is the est candidate, if I can get them to play nice with each other.

  • Everyone that goes out of the house, he goes with them. I can't walk him right now.
He is fright from being shot that time. He is not frightened of some things, I think he would be. Coyotes, he barked and charged into the woods, when he was outside and heard them. Much of his, like many, displays are to say, look, I showed them and he would come back to safety.
  • Sounds like a great dog! Can you take him for a walk? He sounds like he's got some excess energy that needs burning off. Our rescue boxer, Jackson, doesn't like going out without us either. I think it reminds him of being out on the scary streets before he got picked up by animal control. He especially won't go out in the dark, unless one of us is right with him.
