Portable Pet fencing around RV

Ran across this ad for RV pet fencing this morning on Craigslist.
And NO it's not my ad. :W

If you are in Florida might be a good deal for some one.

Or just for a real good look at the pictures on how to make one yourself for around the RV.

  • I like having a small fenced in area for the dogs. We have a nice set up -- in our opinion. IT's not trashy looking. Keeps our dogs in and other's dogs out. Never had any complaints about it anywhere we've camped. But if we aren't sitting right beside them, they are not in the ex-pen. If a campground wouldn't allow it, we either go to plan b or find another campground. I believe in following the rules.
  • Neat idea, I like it. Would not be that hard to make. The only drawback is some campgrounds might not allow it.
  • I've got 6 dog pens, 2 shorter that go under the skirt of the trailer and 4 taller ones to build the pen. Much easier then trying to untangle leashes but still pretty light. Not one campground has complained that my dogs aren't "leashed". Gives them room to run and play but keeps them under control.

Of course I have 2 Westies so they don't need to be that high. I can still step over them.
  • We have two metal ones that fold up neatly, and hook together,..

    Me too.

I use the Precision Ex-pens that are really light weight and I used to carry 4 of them off a bike rack mounted on the bumper of the MH.

When I added the Toad to the MH I carried the four ex-pens on a cargo carrier on the back of the Toad. THAT way was the cats meow of ease of carrying them when RV'ing.

  • So in the campground that has a 6' leash rule...how do you get away with using these fences?
  • We have two metal ones that fold up neatly, and hook together, I am sure it takes up less room in the truck and is lighter and easier to handle and store . This one looks nicer but something like this would not be very hard to make however for the price of materials someone could buy a couple of the portable fences and have change left over.
