When our Pit, Stinky, had liver problems 3-4 years ago the Vet prescribed two 200mg SAM_E a day. After the problem cleared I kept giving him one a day. I checked this with his present Vet and he said to continue. His blood work has been good. I just ordered 300 pills today. They are Sam-e with glucosamine 525mg so I'm going to start giving them to the Rottie for her arthritis. The best place to get them that I found is Puritan Pride. They're on sale, five 60 ct. bottles for $81.00. with free shipping.. They're a pretty big pill so I wrap them in cheese or a piece of raw meat so they swallow them whole. They're a people pill so you can get them at most drug stores but they're too expensive. Good luck with your boy...
