If my "ga'zinns'tas are right you're paying 83 cents a pill and mine are 26 cents but I guess for you super wealthy folks, cost doesn't matter.. ;) They also have lower count orders and 400mgs.
As for your head lock application to administer the medication, have you ever head locked a 70# Pit Bull and made him eat something he doesn't want?? I did that.... Once...Talk about exercise and fun, not to mention the possible loss of an arm.. I wouldn't even think about the 110# Rottweiler, Lady, another stray.. She's a docile, lick you to death girl but the scar across her nose may show some other personality.. A little chunk of London broil or a small goop of processed cheese makes the pill deal like dropping a marble down a two inch pipe. The small cost of administration product is worth the rasslin' match which I would probably lose.. Besides, how long does it take for your best buddy to forgive you?? How long does he lay facing the wall so he doesn't have to look at you??? I get that when I tell Stinky we have to go away or I'm too slow with their morning breakfast... Again, good luck with your four legged family............... I gotta go, my Stinky says it's time for his pill and time to eat....... :)
Jerry, maybe I wasn't clear, but the body lock is when Calvin's getting his nails clipped (and NOT when I'm giving him his pill/s). I use to do the same when Baby (she was a 75lbs American Staffordshire Pitbull) ...

.... had to have her nails clipped as well.
When I gave any of them their pills. I hold the top of their jaw with my left thumb and middle finger (more or less covering their eyes with the inside of my hand), then push the pill in directly or straight into their throat with my right. But again that works for me, and everyone has to do what works best for them.
In so far as the four dogs that I've brought home to live with me. Calvin took the longest to establish where his place was in my Den. But to be honest, I never worried about being bitten or snapped at. Yeah I bled a few times, but never held it, and never will hold it against the dog.
One tried growling at me when he got older. I guess to establish his place, that was taken cared of immediately, and it NEVER happened again! ... LOL
Calvin, well, Calvin's Calvin and can be hardheaded at times (he still has his moments every once in awhile. This is when I really miss Harlee's help, as they were the best for each other). Took me if I recall a month to really work with the kid. However, I give Harlee most of the credit in settling him down.
Like I wrote about the SAM-e. I appreciated the heads up, as I'm looking into the Puritan Pride. However I have to check in with Calvin's DOC to see if it will be OK to up his daily dose to 525mg, since she presently has him on 400mg.
