Rabbits

Rabbits took a shine to my place about 3 weeks ago. Neighbors on all sides have dogs and rabbits 2 of them now follow me around yard. Really dont want them but dont want dogs to get them. They are mostly eating yard. Have note at feed store free to good home, no bites. If we go south this winter...can they dig up their food...maybe 6 inches of snow. Couldn't find answer in rabbit type pages.
