So taking the dog along really depends on how well the dog responds.
And when you get back to camper have the courtesy to check with neighbors on HOW the dog reacted.......and ask them to be truthful.
Many folks think their dog is well behaved when they are gone....but they are gone so they don't REALLY know.
This is the best answer so far - we never leave ours because they sometimes bark when they hear outside noises. We have had many experiences with other dog owners that leave the dogs, and the dogs carry on the whole time they are gone ...... I usually mention it, and then I am considered "the grumpy old guy over there"
