THIS is WHEN you should have started lecturing them on what a backyard breeder is if you would have had the chance to.
No different then a puppy mill. Selling dogs for the sole purpose of 'making money'. I could just strangle people that do that. :(
Good thing telling them about corgi rescue. Hopefully they will give these people a sharp piece of advice about breeding these dogs again.
I can assure you I would have said something rockhillmanor, but I didn't even know they had dogs. We fulltime and I only discovered this situation when she posted about the last litter a few weeks ago. The puppies are born live, then start to die. The last two litters all died in a matter of days. The adult dogs are 3 and 4, so she's pretty much been having litters at every heat. They are kept inside the home and appear to be well cared for. I don't know when they decided to breed them or if it happened by accident the first time and then they decided to keep trying. I know they have consulted a vet, but to find the problem would require $$$$$. Then I saw her put them up for sale and I was shocked. But I would really like for her to put them in rescue. She needs to neuter them before doing anything and I'm going to suggest that.
