We just shopped for a ramp for our Springer as he damaged his cruciate ligament and will require surgery. No steps or jumping up for about 3 to 4 months. We ended up with a Solvit Telescoping Deluxe XL. It has a nonskid surface and can extend 87" so that we can run it to the inside step of our RV without the ramp being too steep. It is really sturdy - weight limit is 300 lbs, but at the same time only weights 18 lbs so I can easily handle it without my husband's help. So far about 2 weeks into this, we have been very pleased with it. Works good getting him into the back seat of the truck as well. You can get an accessory that helps stablize the ramp when you need to run it at an angle (due the door not opening enough to run it straight to the seat) to the seat of your car. Amazon is showing them available now for $117 which is about $10 less than what we paid.
