Rv'ing with large dog. Leave alone in RV?
We've made a few trips so far that only required to leave the RV for about an hour (with A/C on). What about sightseeing at locations 15-30 minutes from your campground though? I don't like the idea...

We've left ours for hours at a time with no problem. If we're going to do that, we walk their wheels off first. Tired dogs tend to be good dogs.
A couple of disclaimers: our RVs were the plain-Jane white variety; so even if we lost power and the A/C went off - it would take quite a while for the RV to heat up enough to be dangerous. But nowadays, so many RVs have the full body paint in dark colors.... I might rethink things if I had a rolling "heat sink"
