Rv'ing with large dog. Leave alone in RV?
We've made a few trips so far that only required to leave the RV for about an hour (with A/C on). What about sightseeing at locations 15-30 minutes from your campground though? I don't like the idea...

Ours go with us 95% of the time. But on those occasions when we need to leave them they do fine in the fiver. We leave the tv on and they normally sleep. However I always let someone we trust know we are gone and they have our cell and sometimes a key to the fiver in case something goes haywire. This is how we know they do not bark and make a fuss while alone.
