Stephanie, if it's all in one city I suspect it's a city ordinance more so than the campgrounds themselves. My suggestion would be to go to the Campgrounds/Attractions forum and post that you are looking for a cg in the area you need but have the dobie. Someone familiar with the area can at least offer campground suggestions-at that point you can call/go to their website and find out if there are restrictions.
I agree that we should keep this thread on topic of helping the OP find a place.
In addition to Crowe's advice above, you might also look at a neighboring town, just outside the city line within the county, and/or just over the county line. If it is a city or county ordinance, you could find the next city/county to be much more relaxed.
