Will be going to meet the dog(s) I have been talking about. Both are in the same area of the country (SW VA), about 5hrs from home. We'll start with the 3yo and if she is not a good fit we'll go see the 7yo.
Transporting a strange dog of this size will be interesting. We do have a 700 vari-kennel (48"x32"x35"H) from when we had a Greyhound. I think the crate will fit between the other 8 crates (five 300s with three 200s on top) and the sliding door of the van.
Will need to make sure we have a new tie out cable and a strong collar for the new dog. She will need to be secured while she meets our animals (and they learn to accept her) and she learns to accept her new home. We'll also have to make sure we can control her on lead; she will need to be shown the property boundaries on lead including the electric wire fence.
