However, I have some serious safety concerns about how the class is conducted, though. Dragging leashes through obstacles (especially tunnels and chutes) is a major no-no, as the dog can easily become tangled. Same with allowing dogs on the equipment with tags hanging from their collars. It can lead to serious injury in the blink of an eye.
I also am not comfortable with the Shiba and the corgi jumping a 12 inch jump in an Agility 1 class. The dogs are also too close together to be safe. I don't even allow the dogs in the Basic Obedience classes I teach to work that close together in the first few weeks, and that is without the excitement factor of the agility equipment.

I would urge you to seek out a trainer in your area who places a high priority on safety and foundational skills such as conditioned jumping, stride regulation, and flatwork for the handler. Your dog seems to have quite a bit of aptitude for the sport.

Thanks for being honest about your feelings and knowledge. I can see where your concerns are VERY valid. Luckily, no dogs have had any issues with each other or leashes getting caught on equipment in the 4 classes we have taken. More videos to come soon
