Newbie Training

We bought a fifth wheel earlier in the year and it was delivered to local storage. We got an hour of training at that time. We had some issues with getting delivery of a new 3500 and now have that. But we have never hooked up the trailer, used the backup camera, much less drive forward or in reverse. The dealer is two hours from here and not much help. Are there members of RV.net that would make themselves available for a couple of hours or 1/2 day to show us the ropes. We are more than happy to reimburse you for your time.
  • Welcome....CONGRATS on your RV/Truck purchases.

How about posting what your truck and 5th wheel ARE.
That way folks will have a heads up

Stand-bye for a flood of responses.......

    RV.NET folks like to help

Hello Jim , Where in PA are you located? Or should I ask, where is the trailer?
I may be able to help depending on the location.
  • Hi Jim, tried to send you a private message to no avail. We get to SE Pa. quite often matter of fact this weekend will be there, so if you still need help drop us a note back... Mark & Vickie
  • We have a 2016 Forest River Cedar Creek Silverback 33IK. 37 feet.
Truck is Chevy 3500 HD Diesel with Allison Transmission.
Hitch is 16K Pull Rite Superglide

    Rig is in Phoenixeville area.
  • My first question to you would be, do you have any experience in towing trailers?
  • There are hundreds of videos on YouTube dealing with anything you might want to know & some more. For practice get some cones & practice in an open area. Nothing replaces practice.

Our 5er was the very first experience towing anything. Our shakedown trip was a one way Austin, TX to MD jaunt which included large sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway & many SPs with backin sites.
