It is a hard decision that you are having to make regarding Petunia, but it is the right thing. Having the bed, toys, etc around would be very hard and I agree with the other posts that donating them to a shelter or rescue group would be very much appreciated and needed. On the subject of having her cremated and keeping her ashes, that is just to personal for me to answer. I know some people who have kept the ashes of their furbabies and others that do a memorial with a nice picture and pawprints, which is very nice. Be wishes to you and your future decisions.
