- sher9570ExplorerGlad she's doing well and is as beautiful as ever!
Sher - Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer IIGlad she's back to her beautiful self again?! "Spuds McKenzie" would not be a good look for a collie....LOL!
- dspencerExplorerThanks for the update and glad she's doing so well.
- AZPopsExplorerUnlike us guys, girls hate scars, so that's great news!

Calvin - ReneeGExplorerThanks for letting us know and that Lassie still has her good looks!
- colliehaulerExplorer IIILassie got her stiches out today. No scar, if it was'nt for the shaved snout you would have a hard time telling anything had happened.
- colliehaulerExplorer IIII took Lassie back to the vet because her snout looked like Spuds Mackenzie (Bull Terrier). Vet said it was normal and would go down.
- Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer IIIf it wasn't the fence - it could be anything?? We came home one day after Ike the Aussie and Jack the Cattle Dog had spent the day in our nice safe dog run (20' x 50') and Jack's forehead was split open right between his eyes and up onto his forehead (the skin - nothing could have opened that thick skull of his) :-( All we can figure is that he was playing "soccer" with his BullyBall; and chased it under the pontoon boat where he collided with the propeller?? It healed beautifully!
- dspencerExplorerI'm so sorry to hear about your precious fur child but I know those emergency vet trips all too well. We had one of ours cheat death early this summer with a heat stroke, today you would never know anything happened to her.

When I bought my house the prior owner did not get along with the neighbor and installed a chain link fence next to his driveway with the barbs up. The very first thing I did upon moving in was tear the fence down.
Ouch!!!!
"Bottom of chain link fence": when we bought our current house, I noticed that the neighbor's CL fence was installed upside-down, with those deadly barbs at the TOP. It was kind of unfriendly, I thought, although it wasn't the existing neighbor who had installed it. So imagine my horror to look up one day just in time to see Ike, my Aussie, jump OVER the 4' fence to play with Rocky, the neighbor's malamute. EEEKS! Just one slip and he could have been eviscerated.... I ran out with a big pair of Vice-Grips and started bending over the barbs. The neighbor saw me, asked what I was doing, and when I told him what had happened, he grabbed his own Vice-grips and started at the opposite end to meet me in the middle!
