We never let them outside unless we are with them, even at home. Clawed or declawed, there are too many dangers for a cat (dogs, cars, birds, people who hate animals) for us to just let them roam free. At home, we sit with them on the patio with a fenced in back yard they can't escape from, and we keep close tabs on them.
