Dogs can also be nurturing. My Molly has made it her personal job to comfort me or any of the other dogs if any of us are sick or hurt. Dogs also like to travel more than cats, because cats tend to be more territorial (attached to their home), while dogs tend to be more attached to their human. There are exceptions, of course, on both sides, as there are plenty of RVing cats and stay-at-home dogs.
