The kindness of others never ceases to amaze me

I had Bellas paw prints done in clay so didn't bother getting a medallion for her urn....Today when I went to see a client she handed me a small wrapped parcel and said " I wanted to get this for you, for Bellas urn "..It is a medallion with " You left paw prints on my heart " engraved on the back....I was so touched...I am still a bit weepy over it.

I knew the prints were Bella's i just didn't know where you had it done. I wish that would have been offered to us on our very special Boston we lost a few years back. We have a very special wall in our bedroom that we have named it our memory wall and unfortunately it has too many memory placques on it. We have 3 very special dogs, one was my wife's before we got marrried, one was a boston that we lost to a wild animal attack in our fenced in back yard in the middle of a large city go figure and the last was due to heart failure at the age of 9. We are dog crazy, we have 5 fur kids now. Anyway the next time the unthinkable happens i will look for the paw print like that, it really tugged at my heart. You were a wonderful mother too Bella!! I loved her picture you have of her in this post.

I'm sorry to hear of your losses...we never have enough time with them for sure...only another dog lover really understands what we go thru each time and how much memories are important to us .

That is so true, we had a bad scare about 6 weeks ago with our senior Boston who is now 9. He had a Gran Maul Seizure right in front of my wife and i and i swear it aged us 5 years watching that. I am 58 and i have never in my life saw that happen and i don't mind telling you we were both basket cases for 24 hours. He spent the night in the Emergency clinic then i took him to our vet for follow up and an 8 hour stay at our vets office. He is now home and you would never know it happened but were just setting on the edge of our seats waiting for it to happen again. I have to share one thing about this ordeal though. Chubby has always been just a big lazy lover that didn't found his favorite spot on the floor beside where my sat all the time. He never got too much into playing with the other dogs was more like there dad just watching over them. Well after this happened he has did a total about face, when we are home for every step the wife and or i take he takes 2 steps. He is with us in every single room we go too. If we go to the restroom he's right there with us. He is now wanting to play fetch with me when i get home from work, he has never done that in his 9 years of life. I simply cannot put into words how his behavior has changed. Its cute but also almost scares us, if that makes sense.

All I can say is WOW!!! Nabi can I ask where you got the little paw prints made? I love that.

The paw prints are Bellas, they were done at the crematorium.

  • Beautiful! Someone knew you needed the special gift. You, as well as Bella, have touched many lives. Cherish the memories.
  • Wow, it is so wonderful when someone does something "from the heart" like that. Bella seems to have inspired a lot of kindness, though. Love the paw prints. I used to love looking at the sidewalk at the park when Poquita walked through a sprinkler puddle and then left those perfect, tiny footprints. As they say, "my heart took a picture." :)

  • That is just the sweetest thing ever!! She must be a pet owner and knows the sense of loss....

I had to giggle at Bella's paw prints (plural) - I got one of those clay pieces, too - but Ike's massive paw fills the oval....LOL!!

I was a bit speechless...this woman is a client of mine and for her to do something so thoughtful really touched me....
