Cars you are correct about the phrase plus taxes, but the price they put on the windshield does not have it included. Motel's I'm talking about the price on the sign outside (advertise price) does not include taxes. I expect taxes to be added, very seldom are taxes included in advertised price.colliehauler wrote:rockhillmanor wrote:I have never seen tax added to anything that was advertised for sale. Cars, groceries, motels, ect. Why would campgrounds be any different?
I full time and what I have found is almost none of them add the tax for the CG rate on their website and/or signage.
So depending what state you are in will depict what extra in that department you will pay.
First time I parked in a CG in Florida the guy started adding the tax THEN he goes to line two and starts adding 'another' tax. Whoa back up the bus! Thought the guy was adding a little bit for himself.
Come to find out Florida has a bed tax.
Yup, the CG has NO beds to offer, but you are required to pay a bed tax at a CG. :R
For what its worth here is google's "policy" on advertising and taxes.

Cars are mandated to include the phrase "plus tax, title etc" under every advertised price.
Motels, vacation packages, use the term "inclusive" which means tax included. Not inclusive means tax not included in rate.
Groceries? Where I live there are NO taxes on groceries! :B:W
I have absolutely no problem paying taxes as I travel. Taxes are what funds and fuels the towns and cities I visit. It's a necessity.
The bed tax originally intended for motels IMHO, JMHO has no business being applied to a CG. Just saying.
