You've done a step that most don't-faxing your paperwork in advance. It shows responsibility, unlike many in the "my dog won't hurt anybody" crowd, and those who claim the dog is a "therapy dog" yet either refuse to show or have no proof.
Wonder what the insurance company would do if CG violated the breed restriction in place in order for CG to have insurance coverage and if you are placing business in jeopardy
Good question. But more devil's advocate. How many of the campgrounds are using insurance as an excuse to ban breeds when the insurance doesn't really exist? I also think that some insurance policies have exemptions for certified therapy/assistance dogs, but unless the owner takes the step of "pre-acceptance" the cg owners are going to err on the side of caution and just say no.
Unfortunately many have banned breeds that are no issue at a cg, but are not therapy dogs. Self-policing, I think, will help some of these breeds get accepted once again and will also preclude other campgrounds from banning dogs in general. That includes taking a good look at our OWN dogs and asking ourselves if Rover is truly a canine good-will ambassador.
