First off, so sorry for the unsettling news about your health. I hope things turn around for you.
Hopefully you will find someone else to adopt your Rowdy. Maybe it was because he wasn't used to children.....maybe if the girl came to your place a few times with Rowdy and then took him to her place for a few hours for a couple days; Rowdy may adjust better.
Hoping for the best for both you and Rowdy....you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted.
