What do you tell your dog (s) ....

... when they ask about an ingredient, while reading the label on the can, or bag of their food?

After trying to feed Calvin the celery. Telling him that Wolves eat the stuff. The boy found out that I was full of it. ... :B ... I think I may have inadvertently opened a can of worms. ...

Last night I saw him reading the side of a can of his food. He asked, "what is a potato, in my venison and potato formula food"?

I told him it was a special tasty part of the deer. He responded with an, "Are you sure"? Yeah, that's why your food cost so dang much!

In the mean time, I hope he doesn't run into whomever told him that wolves don't eat celery though. ... :S

They don't need to. They have made a lifetime occupation of studying us and know everything we're going to do before we do it. ie: Just THINK about going somewhere and they'll meet you at the door. Remember that dish of leftovers and they'll be at the fridge before you get there. I guess we are an easy study. :W
  • Well, when Jesse and Jake question I tell them what it is and not to worry because the Mama eats it too! :B

  • I don't tell our Chihuahua anything. She's in charge, we're only here to serve her. :)

Well, they obviously have not tried it with peanut butter or cream cheese. :C
  • I tell my dogs if they don't like the food I buy them, they can start doing the grocery shopping. I've also suggested that if they're bored all day while I work, they can clean the house. So far, they just look at me from their couch in the air conditioned room and laugh.

Just be grateful Calvin isn't a bird. Then you'd get the "you're trying to kill me with this crap" screech!
